History & Info
Skill Levels:
- Our group has a great range of players from the fairly inexperienced to people who take each game seriously (sometimes a little too seriously, but we always have fun :) So if you are interested in joining our group, send me an email at one of the links below and I'll fill you in.
- Come out and give the game a try, its great exercise and our "ultimate" goal is to have fun, not to be competitive!
- The best part about our informal games are that EVERYONE plays as much as they like. We usually have a few subs, so everyone gets a chance to play and rest.
History
- 2002 Inaugural Year: In our first year we commonly had games of up to 20 people (10 on each team).
- 2003: An extremely successful season. We had two-field games with upwards of 30 people playing at once, two times per week!
- 2004: Most successful year, 30 people per game with lots of new friendships formed! Who knew organization and a few simple rules could make ultimate more fun? Thanks to everyone who made our first foray into the competitive ultimate scene a great success (Snuffleupadisc and Dumps Under Pressure forever!!!).
- 2005: Snuffleupadisc spreads its wings. We finally had enough serious people to form a travelling team and made it out to 5 tournaments around Ontario. Coaching was provided by Devin Hanes of London Ultimate. We had a great season.
- 2006: So-far we are working together with Devin and Patrick Pace on a new travelling team called London Underground. The season is going well. Our goal is to place well in Regionals July 8/9 in London.
Pickup is still happening, and we are looking for players for the fall UWO IMS league again.
